I was walking through the woods when I came apon a fire I was feeling miserable but some strangers took me higher I had lost my way somehow off the trail I was getting sick I was getting rather frail Then they welcomed me to join them singing to the moon in the piney wood I came out of my coccoon Ch: we sang and we played the drums they were just like old chums we sang in rhythm with the river we sang into the dead of winter And I did not know what to say when they told me they were fae I forgot I'd seen them as a child when I was free and running wild They told me stories of my past I was glad to be here at last. I wanted so badly to stay and so I asked the fae They said I'd have to leave my land That there was much to understand to learn how to live free the way it used to be Ch: we sang and we played the drums they were just like old chums we sang in rhythm with the river we sang into the dead of winter And so I learned to love with peace in mind and I am now going to be divine! in the land of forest green in the flower world of fairy beings.
